The Crocuses and Daffodils announce the Spring

The one where the bulbs brighten up the garden, and help the bees.

A dash of colour in the snow

Snow and severely low temperatures have come as a shock to some plants, whilst others carry on regardless.

I've been #planting some more #bulbs today. The #garden is quite wet, but at least it's not raining or so cold (actually, I'm feeling a bit fluey, so no idea what the real temperature is). #snowdrops are in (such an important early #flower alongside the #crocus, as the #bees can use it for food. Also planted out the #allium bulbs, and the dark blue #tulips. The bright and cheery tulips will go out the front another day . . . . . #gardening #gardener #garden #digforvictory #growyourown #flowers #pretty #instagardeners #inmygarden #mygarden
Nipped out for a bit of #pruning in the #garden.
Still on the pull! The wonderful smell of freshly #pulled #homegrown #carrots 😍 . . . . . #gardening #gardener #garden #digforvictory #growyourown #vintage #veggies #freshveg #healthyfood #healthyeating #instagardeners #gardening
Lightly turning some #soil over with the #fork and #spade. Loads of #worms in here, as well as 50bn tons of stinking cat shit. Whilst I was digging my own cat came along to add some more and my lungs almost fell out 😫. . . . . #digforvictory #digging #gardening #gardener #garden #instagardeners #dig #growyourownfood #growityourself
And there we go... Yet more #courgette and Cheddar #soup. 😛
It's #soup weather, so I'm using up some of the oversized #courgettes to make some more #courgette and Cheddar soup (see @bbcgoodfood for #recipe). . . . . . #freshveg #zuchinni #healthyfood #healthyeating #homemade #cooking
